I will always remember our visits to South Holland when mom and dad lived there. During the summer, the menu was always dad's famous chicken on the grill, salad made with homegrown cucumbers and tater tots. Mom was an excellent cook and usually made some rich dessert. Dad was the bartender and always made sure that your glass was full. I never left there hungry. Although we born in different generations and came from different family backgrounds, I always appreciated my in-laws for their generosity and kindness. I will miss them both.
