Thelma Wolfe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 3, 2025.
Thelma Irene (Pace) Wolfe, 88, of King William, Virginia, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Hanover Manor Alpha House in Ashland, Virginia.

Thelma was born on February 25, 1937, to the late Earl Pace and Margaret Johnson. She retired from Philip Morris in Richmond, Virginia after 30 years of service, while raising her 4 children. She was also a devoted member of Rehoboth Bible Church in King William, Virginia. On November 30, 1991, Thelma married the late Richard Wolfe. Thelma was nurturing, caring, loving, outspoken, strong, wise, and giving. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thelma was a yard-sale enthusiast. She simply could not resist a bargain. Whether it was books, dolls, shoes, clothes, purses, or random knick-knacks, Thelma would find a place and a use for all of her treasures. Thelma also loved her soap operas, her beanie babies, her Precious Moment figurines, and her country music. She will lovingly be remembered for being short in stature, but large in impact. Thelma's strength, devotion to her family, and wisdom have always been admired by her family. Her legacy will live on forever.

Surviving her are her children: Deborah (Jody), Kenny (Stacey); stepchildren, Debra (Mark), Amanda, and John (Jennifer); daughter in law, Missy; 16 grandchildren: Ramey (Jamie), Christina, Galina (Jessie), Kimberly (Greg), Adam (Cindy), Mark (Rachel), Jennifer, Ashley (Jake), Dallas (Kim), Garrett, Jennifer, Craig, Crystal, Jesse, Robert Jr., Sarah; 25 great-grandchildren: Margaret, Dylan, Brenna (Sam), Darrian, Mariska, Cadaysha, Cashdon, Alex, Benjamin, Caitlyn, Elijah, Brent, Landen, Gabrielle, Autumn, Lola, Austin, Ashlynn, Emily, Lilly, Michael, Joshuah, Riley, Caroline, and Dean; and one great-great grandson: Matthew.

Thelma was predeceased by her parents and beloved husband; daughter, Margie Massey; son, Jerry Landes; stepson, Robert Demello Sr.; son in law, Ray Massey; and great-granddaughter: Taylor Minton.

The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Hanover Manor Alpha House for the loving care and respect given to Thelma during her time at the facility.

The family requests a donation be considered in lieu of flowers to the Dementia Society of America.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone at this difficult time of mourning My fondest memory will always be when I flew up to stay with Grandpa and Thelma for a month, at 13 years old in 1993. She showed love for me just as she did her own grandchildren. Now she´s back with Grandpa and all our other family members gone too soon for eternity.
