Ted lived his life as a renaissance man - man of service to his country, experienced the passion of biking the highways of this country, a man who immersed himself in the arts, a skilled technician, one likely crowned as the Southern king of polka, and a man who has set the standard for joy of living. To have worked with Ted in the Georgia FLETC government studio, I was schooled in television production and, more importantly, I found in him a lifelong friendship. The legacy of this man is indeed something to be celebrated.

Becky, our hearts and prayers are with you and your family.
We share your grief in the loss of Teddy but what a privilege it has been to know him.
Especially for Jim who rode with him, raised many a glass with him and most importantly called him his friend.

Jim appreciated Ted's sense of humor and how he always brought calm and reason when the group got crazy. He brought a mentoring spirit, instruction and order to all the newbies hoping to join the motorcycle run. Ted was the oldest and wisest, almost a father figure for all.

Ted's amazing creativity shone bright as he co-founded the Mountain Run in 1981 and documented its evolution over the decades that followed.
From the heart, he wrote prolific poetry, told tall tales of the many memorable events, and created nicknames that showcased each man's personality. Ted's love of tradition, motorcycle riding and his men is captured forever and will last after each one is gone.
From WFD and me, know that we love you and we celebrate Teddy Bear's amazing life and legacy. We're sure he and “Jack D” are cruising some lovely winding back roads and feeling the sweet breezes of heaven.
Thank you for sharing him.

Sorry to hear of Teds passing. He is the oldest of the 'cousin's' generation and I always looked forward to talking to him. Mary, Phil and I pass on our dearest condolences. Find peace in the sunrise and reassurance at sunset.
