My condolences to the family. I will always remember our very enjoyable conversations when I was a young man.

Ted was a special friend of mine, my wife, my children and grandchildren. He was "Tio Teo" for more than 38 years. We struck up a friendship while in Ecuador, South America that we continued here in US, our families becoming a part of that friendship.
We all were proud to know such a wonderfully interesting and entertaining person. And he was famous too!
He was the Director of the Hispanic Society of America.
He knew Salvador Dalí and his wife.
Ted was incredibly talented linguistically, a polyglot: speaking Spanish, French and German.
A truly unique individual who will be missed by family and friends, Ted will always be in our hearts and thoughts .
We have the memories that he has left with us.
