Theodore O. Libath

LIBATH-Theodore O., a lifelong resident of Valley Stream, on October 11, 2003. Ted was a World War II veteran, a Liaison Pilot in the 9th Air Force serving in the European Theatre. Retired as Vice President of Sid Harvey Industries, Inc., Garden City, after 50 years of service. Ex-Captain of the Valley Stream Fire Department Rescue Squad. Past Master of Lynbrook-Massapequa Masonic Lodge #822. Past President and Trustee of Pagan-Fletcher Restoration (Meeting Room at Restoration named in his honor). Director - Valley Stream Central High School Alumni Association (Class of 1938). Volunteer at Franklin Hospital Medical Center, with his wife for thousands of hours. Devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church and Usher for over 40 years. Beloved husband of Agnes for 59 years. Devoted father of Marsha Gontarski (Stanley) of Tallahassee, Florida, Tedd Libath (Barbara) of East Hampton, New York, and Nancy Zorn (Tom) of Severna Park, Maryland. Loving Pop-Pop of grandchildren, Jane Posner (Jonathan), Rebecca Stryker (Ethan); Jesse, Cassandra, Jason and Katie Libath; Teddy, Brittany and Kyle Zorn, and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Chloe and Timothy. Brother of Mildred Fitzpatrick of Jacksonville, Florida. Family will receive friends Today, 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at The Moore Funeral Home, 54 W. Jamaica Ave., Valley Stream. Masonic Service at 8 PM. Religious Service, Wednesday, 10 AM, at Grace United Methodist Church, Valley Stream. Interment, Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn.
