Dear Astrid, Although we haven't seen each other in years, you and your family are in my thoughts during this sad time. Your father was a wonderful man. I know he will be missed by many. My mom also wants you to know how sad she was to hear of his passing. She has many fond memories of him. You will be in our prayers.

I have often wondered over the years what had become of doctor Sobol.I last saw him in 1980 when he was helping my mom with cancer.I am so glad he was able to have an active retirement. Now his address has changed but his title remains the same. People like Dr. Sobol are called ANGELS. I'm sure you all gave up a little to have your husband and dad be a doctor of the people. Thank you! May God bless all of you. My prays are with you all and with Dr. Sobal

I'm so sorry to learn of the passing of Dr. Sobol. He is an icon in the Village of Keeseville, and many surrounding areas. Long before I knew him at all, he took care of my Dad who was a cancer victim. Even though house calls were pretty much a thing of the past in early 60s, and even though there was not much left to be done, Dr Sobol visited with Dad often, at home. For that alone, I will always remember him as a truly compassionate person. But, there's more; he subsequently cared for my children, on occassion, even though they were "not his patients." He was a fine person! My sincere condolences. May he be granted eternal peace.

To the family of Doc Sobol: May he rest in peace, for he made life possible for many people in the community from the start to finish. I come from a family of 6 and he greeted every one of us at birth. As far as I am concerned he was a miracle worker. Many will miss him. I remember him patching me up on many occasions throughout my childhood and teenage years.

DR. Sobol was my doctor since I was 7 year old. He delivered my son, "his little indian" is what he called him. I think he was the last baby he delivered. I am honored that he touched my family's life in so many ways. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I worked with Dr. Sobol at CVPH in the late 60's. I remember him as the kindest, most caring Dr. to his patients. He was respectful to all the nurses on staff, a great Dr.!

Doctor Sobol was my doctor from Chilhood through adulthood, he was a very friendly & Kind man,he was agreat Doctor.I went to school with Astrid at Our lady of Grace in Keeseville. My prayers are with Astrid & all the family.

Doc Sobol took care of me from Kindergarden until after I left school. He even set my broken ankle. He constantly asked how the skiing was going.
He lived a long and productive life and touched everyone he came in contact with in a positive way. I feel honored to have known him and had him as my doctor.
