Theresa DeStefano Obituary

Theresa DeStefano, 90, of Solvay, passed away Sunday at Community General Hospital. She was born in Italy to the late Peter and Rosina Pasqua before immigrating to Solvay. Theresa was employed as a sales clerk in the men's department of Dey Bro.'s Department Store in downtown Syracuse for many years before retiring. She was an active communicant of St. Cecilia Church in Solvay. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Anthony in 1995.
She is survived by 3 sons; David (Mary Ann), of AZ, Dennis (Jovine), of Solvay and Anthony (Elaine), of Solvay, 8 grandchildren; John DeStefano, David (Sherry) DeStefano, Jennifer (John) Plath, Kristin (Peter) Ascioti, Ashley (Sigmund Brzostowski) DeStefano, Andrew (Kelly), Adam (Kate McMaster) and Nina (Dan Rathbun) DeStefano, 5 great grandchildren; Sophia Plath, AJ DeStefano, Evan and Mikayla Brzostowski and Natalie Ascioti and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 8:15 am in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9 am in St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave.

Contributions may be made to the St. Cecilia Preservation Fund, 1001 Woods Rd. Solvay, NY 13209.
