Warm and fond remembrance of Theresa Lang, front and center at 9AM Philosophy class on Saturday mornings. A bright, caring, wise woman who kindly welcomed people and warmly shared her life and humor. Truly missed as a presence in our world.

As my father's only living sibling Terry Lang held a special place in my heart. I was lucky enough to have had a wonderful conversation with my Aunt T shortly before her passing. Although omitted from her obituary, she was also survived by her sister-in-law, Peggy Volmar, her neice, Lisa (Volmar) Logan and, her other three, great neices; Olivia, Fraisia, and Bellamy Logan. We all loved her, too and will miss her sense of humor and kind demeanor dearly.

I was in my second year of college at Marymount Manhattan when I had the good fortune to meet Mrs. Lang. She was in my medieval lit class as well as other lit classes and she always had something to add to the class that was valuable and insightful. I admire her dedication to MMC and her various other causes. She was truly a warm and caring person and will be missed by many. Thank you Mrs. Lang and family for all the good you have done and continue to do.

I wish I could have known Mrs. Lang better. I feel privileged to be acquainted with her through her son Stephen and daughter Jane.

My family are Irish, where Theresa's mother was born and we have known her all our lives. She was a kind and gentle woman who kept all of us going through hard times when we had nothing. She was my mother's very good friend and we all mourn her passing. People like her are rare and the good they do is never fully appreciated as a lot is done in private. We thank her and are glad and proud to have known her.

I had first met Mrs. Lang at my parents 50th anniversary party. I did not meet her again until I walked in to find her at my sick mother's bedside holding her hand...Since that memorable day I had come to love Terry. Terry was not only smart, kind, generous and funny, but she was also the most loyal woman I have ever known. I am so sorry that she is gone and I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to all her family on their very great loss.
Sincerely,
Mary Rafferty Fracchia

I remember Ms. Lang as being supportive of her husband’s efforts with the graduates of P.S. 121 in the "I Have a Dream" (IHAD) program. She was a warm and down to earth person who believed in helping children from East Harlem realize their potential and for this the IHAD students and families will remember her.

I feel privileged to have known Ms. Theresa Lang. I appreciate the many rich and personal contributions she has made to benefit so many through her hospital and educational works. I have loved her sense of humor, her willingess to learn, as well as to "sing along" and tap dance with great delight. She is deeply missed!
