Theresa (Teri) Ann Walther

On Monday, December 30, 2024, Theresa (Teri) Ann Walther, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 years old. Teri was born on October 24th, 1944 in Dothan, Alabama where her family was stationed during WWII. Teri and her family moved to Rochester, New York at the end of her father's enlistment and she and her sister, Joanne, enjoyed many fond adventures and experiences with friends and extended family. In 1966, Teri married Joseph (Joe) Walther, and they moved to Syracuse, New York and started a family. Joe and Teri were married for 54 years and had three children. Greg, Jeff and Karyn.

Teri and Joe relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 1977 and relished living in the Grand Canyon State. They spent countless hours traveling the state and enjoying the many parks, backroads and adventures that awaited them. Teri was an avid Phoenix Suns fan and god-forbid you called her during a game!! She was a passionate Miniature Schnauzer owner as well and had many small furry friends over the years. Teri spent her professional career in the medical field supporting various physicians and organizations in the Valley. In retirement, Teri finally got to spend time alone with Joe and both looked forward to their RV trips and that amazing Alaska cruise they took for their 50th anniversary.

Teri was preceded in death by Joe in 2020 and her parents, Edward and Eunice Sanderl. She is survived by her children Greg (Beth) Walther, Jeff (Veshiem) Walther and Karyn (Stefan) Schmitt. Teri is also survived by her sister, Joanne Sanderl, grandchildren Zachary (Alex) Walther, Connor (Cassie) Walther, Kendell (Cory) Boguslofski, Kaitlin Schmitt, Michael Schmitt, Ryan Schmitt and 6 great grandchildren!
