Theresa Marie Zielinski, 80 of Oglesby died at 6:50 p.m. March 11, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family.
Private family services will be held in the Shields Funeral Chapel, Oglesby. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Theresa was born August 7, 1942 in LaSalle to Aldo and Anne (Focci) Bernardoni. She married John Zielinski June 6, 1964 in Tonica. He died May 16, 2018.
Theresa was a homemaker.
She is survived by 3 daughters; Irene Galiher of Spring Valley, Anita (Richard) Swiskoski of Oglesby and Vickey (Daron Judd)Siemers of Lostant, 4 grandsons; Gregory (Heather) Galiher of Middletown, PA, Jonathan (Faith Hedrick)Siemers of Tonica, Carson (Gracie Williams)Siemers of Tonica and Nicholas Swiskoski of Oglesby, a granddaughter Jenna Judd of Lostant, siblings Joseph (Nancy) Bernardoni of Utica, James (DeeDee) Bernardoni of Buffalo, NY, Rosemary (Ronald) Volpe of LaSalle and Darlene (Warren) Jacobs of Quincy, sisters-in-law Darlene Bernardoni of Tonica and Arlene Bernardoni of Oglesby, brother-in-law Rod Knoblauch of Oglesby and special friend Tom Hepburn.
She was preceded in death by 5 brothers; Dominic in infancy, Donley, John, William and Robert Bernardoni and 2 sisters; Dolly Knoblauch and Denise Liles, son-in-law Farrell Brady and sister-in-law LouAnn Bernardoni.

Uncle Jim&Aunt Dee Dee Bernardoni

When we were first married, Thersea, tried to teach me to fold ravioli, it was a memory I will always hold dear to my heart! Jim & I made her laugh! It took me many years to get the hang of it . Over the years if I would mention it to her , she would shake her head no , once was enough! Theresa was always kind to me . She had a heart of gold. We will miss her very much.
