Mom
How the days fly bye and with each one we miss you more. I hope you are having coffee with all of our loved ones that have gone ahead of you. I know you are watching out for all of us here, and that you are doing everything in your power to let us know you are still by our sides. Love you forever CB

Ma tante Therese,
Faith, hope and charity; you were the embodiment of these virtues and a shining example to us all. You had a fantastic memory and always seemed to recall everyone's names. When I was 16, you hired and trained me to sell jewellery at home parties. I wasn't very good at it, but it was the beginning of my career in sales that lasted almost 40 years. Thank you!

Grandma, these past few years we have had the opportunity to further develop our relationship. I will always remember 3 generations around the table also kicking your butt at cards and getting my butt kicked at cards. I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to introduce you to my partner Chris, so you know that I am in good hands. Please take care of my brother and the ones who have gone before you. You'll forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

Mama,
I felt your love till the very end, and I know you felt mine. Remember what I said to you "please make everyone that loves you believe in angels and take all our love with you". I know life goes on, but never again as it was, I miss you with all my being, but I know you are in a better place filled with eternal love and peace and without pain.
For now I will patiently wait for the moment a soft breeze will come out of nowhere on a sunny day, then I will know my Angel has just dropped in. You are free......
I will always love you Mama.

Saying Goodbye to Therese-

We lost a good fighter in my Therese. She endured so many trials on her way
to heaven's door. She arrived in my world in 1944-45 as a bright star in the
teaching world. Always honest to her beliefs, she truly believed that her
students could master math, history, social graces, plus a fair helping of
the Catechism. She expressed herself with elegance and refinement in French
or English. Poor in the fortune of money, much as we all were. Money was
hard earned in the forties. She enjoyed the travails of the day. Witty with
politeness to all. I never heard her speak with malice to any one. She cared
greatly for her many friends. Her sister's were also dear to her.
My dear brother Armand whom she loved beyond any reasonable doubt, was a
challenge to any woman. The easy money that flowed into their early years
almost guaranteed their prosperity as they welcomed each new sibling. Armand
had faults as we all do. His vigor, his brillance in business matters was
unmatched in their community. Business with farmers and ranchers of the day,
was usually toasted with refreshments from the car trunk. Handshakes, a
little snort of Canadiian Club became a constant menu. Therese was aware and
battled hard to guide him. The children were kept in step with her patience
and prayers. Through the hills and valleys of a long life, she won the day.
Their quiet time came when the kids went hither & yon. They travelled, and
tended their garden at home with passion. Therese as always was creating
marvels with crocheting & knitting. Here was a woman who lit up the board's
in her many endeavours. Truly, she was a world class marketer of
costume jewelry. A manager of note in farming sales personel to achieve
recognition plus financial reward. My last visit with her and her famlily
members, Rene, Pierre, Andre, Gisele accompanied by children & wives. Her
hearing was impaired, eyes were tired yet she was radiant with joy at being
with us all. She asked for details of all my family and cried of my wife,
Claire's passing. Nevertheless, she rejoiced at the meeting of my daughter's
Anna & Diane. How is Richard? He was her godson. She asked about Roland &
Robert as well . I didn't know her as a child yet I'm convinced her life was
a mission from heaven. Her loving parents were blessed with this girl and it
was my brother's treasure to have her love. She gave her children the key to
heaven's gate, the road to walk into life with courage and love never
fearing God's plan. Ready and sure to eternal, rest and peace, so rightfully
deserved.
Love, Roland

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time

Gramma had a special way of making each of us feel cherished when we were with her and she worked hard to be sure we were reminded of her love when she wasn’t with us. Gramma expected very little from us but I know she would want each of us to find comfort in a higher power and in prayer for each other. Gramma accepted each person in her life exactly the way they were and lived to know we were happy, healthy and learning to be our best selves. This past March, Gramma spent time trying to teach Daniel how to crochet and I will remember Gramma with a tiny boy on her lap explaining what to do; even though she couldn’t quite see well enough and his little hands weren’t quite big enough. Gramma put me to the test a few weeks ago by asking me to read a get well card out loud in French. After bumbling through the words I said, “My French isn’t very good” and Gramma replied, “You weren’t kidding”. We had a good laugh but I put it on my list of things I wish I was better at. You can be certain that she loved you and thought of you often and that she was told over and over again the day before she passed that each of you loved her and sent your good byes with love. I will honor Gramma’s memory by always striving to give love and acceptance.
