Thijs Alexander Kraakman

I am so sad to hear this today. I spent the afternoon with my son Bradley Lowry. Thijs & Brad were together at Salvation Army. So thankful I got to meet Thijs! Bradley talked about him a lot. When I met him I could tell he was special. He immediately touched my heart and put me at ease that Bradley chose someone like Thijs to be his friend. Thank You also for having Bradley in your home! I appreciate that so much. Thankful too for the Salvation Army. I'm confident it did Bradley some good as he seems to be doing well. I wish I'd known about this happening. I would have driven to Fort Wayne so Bradley could say goodbye to Thijs and I would have loved to meet you! What a wonderful young man he was! I am on FB if you ever want to talk. I first met Thijs when he worked for A+Computers and did work for us. What an OUTSTANDING young man he was. I always knew when we had issues... And they would send him... It would be fixed. I was heartbroken to see the news today. You raised an amazing young man.... And my heart breaks for you and your loss. He touched so many lives in many different ways... And those he touched are grieving with you

I only worked with u 2 weeks but I'll never forget u saying "I get paid to play outside" u gave me motivation that day...and your saying "if u ain't Dutch u ain't much" made me proud to know u.....work will never be the same. God has his reasons and we will never understand on this life but I admire your hard work and I keep hearing u say "what's that" every time I said or asked something...u said u were deaf but I know u heard me brother haha. We even grautuated from the same high school! God bless u and your family!

I'm blessed to have crossed paths with Thijs this year as we were hired in at Shindigz in South Whitley at the same time this January, and worked within the same area. What a precious guy he was, so full of life and fun and a personality that was just amazing. He always had a smile on his face and would joke around with you, he was very animated and made me laugh. We didn't know each other very long before he got another job and left Shindigz,, but he left a lasting impression on my heart as he was a kind and caring person. Your family will be in my prayers, I'm so saddened to hear this happen to such a wonderful fun loving young man. He will be missed, and forever remembered by myself. God bless you all in the days ahead.

Dear Thijs, I think the day became less bright when I heard you had left this world for the next. My memories of you mainly come from the German classes we shared at Homestead High School. As I recall back then you were rather on the squirrelly side, you have the distinction of being the provocation that led to my first and only in school suspension. But as I recall we worked it all out pretty quickly. You always struck me as a decent person, without a shred of cruelty in your nature. I still think back to the hilarious insanity you were capable of bringing to the classroom with humor and fondness. I will always remember you as a lovable element of chaos. I won't say rest in peace, because thankfully no space you come into stays unenergized for very long.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I love you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Thijs, I will miss your smile. While you were in show choir, you were so full of light and life. You were a good friend, to my son, Derek. You were always respectful to the adult chaperones and willing to help.

Later I ran into you in Office Depot. You immediately came up to me with a smile and a hug. I will miss those.

Prayers to your family. Knowing you are now with God, they know you are safe, but you will be missed beyond measure. You have left a hole that can never be filled.

Having spent one July 4th with Thijs watching the fireworks and having ice cream at my nephew's house, I thought he was a really nice young man with a kind heart and a great sense of humor.
