What a great loss for Tommy's family and friends and what a shame for the world to lose such a great guy. Fond memories of fun times at Poly Methodist and the beautiful voice of his that graced the choir on Sunday mornings. I (like Gerry) am sorry that we did not stay in touch over the years, and his passing should teach us all a lesson that each day is precious and fragile. God bless Robert and Tommy's family in the days ahead and please know the love of your friends surrounds you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Allen family and extended families. I've been a close friend of Tom's youngest brother, John, since 1st grade. During schooldays, I used to hang out at the Allen's home and came to love them all like family. Though I only met Tom a few times, I know that he was loved very dearly by all. Very sorry to hear of this sad news. May the Lord be with you and guide you all through this time of grieving.

Our little town was never more blessed than when the Allen's came here. Tommy, I will miss you so much, I have really grown to love you over the last few years. Your many accomplishments leave me in awe. Robert, I miss you a lot.

Tom,
I'm not sure what makes a great man but I know that you were a great guy. You were a great older brother, a great husband and father and a great grandad. We were not prepared to lose you so suddenly. Thanks for a lifetime of memories, a lifetime of laughter and a lifetime of love. I'll always love you and we'll never forget you. Your younger brother, Rob.

So sad for my dear friends Robert and John and the rest of the family.
So happy Tom's in the loving arms of Jesus.

Tommy was a good and close friend in our youth, as well as a true leader among his peers. He did much to keep the Poly Methodist music program moving forward for both adults and young people. I'm sorry that we didn't stay in touch over the years, and his passing is a very sad event. But memories from decades ago burn brightly.
