Thomas E. "Tom" Allmond

Thomas "Tom" Allmond, age 86, died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Gilmore Memorial Medical Center in Amory, MS. He was born September 1, 1931 in Winchester, TN to Hugo Allmond and Pearl Taylor Hargis Allmond. He lived most of his life in Aberdeen, MS. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp and served in the Korean War. He was owner and founder of Allmond Printing Company. He was a past member of the Aberdeen Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member and Elder of the Aberdeen Church of Christ. Services will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Aberdeen Church of Christ with Derrick Maranto officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two daughters Veda Fritch (Tommy) of Augusta, GA. and Elizabeth Welch(Keith) of Franklin,TN; three sons Tim Allmond (Tammy) of Fayette, AL., Ernie Allmond (Jackie) of Aberdeen, MS. and John Allmond (Emily) of Aberdeen, MS.; one sister Annette Mize (Clyde) of Guntown, MS; two brothers Ira "Bones" Allmond (Barb) of Warren, MI. and Steve Allmond (Pat) of Collierville, TN; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Jean Gooch Allmond and two brothers Sydney Allmond and Coleman Allmond. Pallbearers will be John Inmon, Terry Smith, Kevin Peters, Jim Hussey, John McArthur, Dwight McComb, Steve English, and Todd Wilemon. Honorary Pallbearers will be James House and James Stockton. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Aberdeen Church of Christ from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Condolences may be sent to www.tisdalelannmemorial.com.
