I've known Tom for over 25 years. He was one of the best people I ever met. He cared deeply about the people in his life and always had a smile or a joke to share. Tom's life was a testimony for living from your heart. I will miss him...

I met Mr. Basile in elementary school after his son Matt came to our school and was the new kid. Matt immediately became one of my best friends and we played many sports together as kids. Mr. Basile was one of the most generous and caring person I've ever met. He went out of his way too many times to count to make sure every kid had a ride to practice or to a game, no matter how far he had to go. He also helped in any other aspect our team needed even though he wasn't always a coach. I can't imagine my childhood without him. I'm truly grateful for everything he did for me in my life, as are so many others. The Basile family was like a second family to me growing up as me and Matt were always together. I'm very sorry for your loss Basile family. My prayers are with you.

We will miss you stopping by the pharmacy at Giant. You made us smile every time you came by. You had such a great sense of humor. You will be sorely missed

I work at the Limerick Giant, and I have known Tommy for years. I first met him while I was working in the pharmacy and ever since that first joke he told me I made it a priority to find him on every visit to say hi and give him a hug and ask if he had any new jokes to tell. I, personally, was deeply saddened by the news of his passing and wished I could have seen him one more time. He will be severely missed by everyone here at the Limerick Giant, and our deepest condolences go out to all his friends and family.
