As a patient of Dr. Baskin almost 50 years ago, I was saddened to learn of his death. I was adrift in life and incapacitated with depression after completing college. He helped ground me and find a direction. Don C. Payne M.D. Holden, Maine

Dr. Baskin was an amazing man who made the world a better place for having lived here! He was respected by friends, patients, and colleagues alike, and was a shining example of what a good person can be as evidenced by the countless blessings he gave to others, including my mother. We will miss him very much.

Grady was and remains an inspiration to younger men who follow in his giant footsteps. He was a fine and upstanding Christian and a pleasure to be around. I count myself blessed to have been among his friends.

I knew Dr Baskin, not as a Doctor but as the father to a good friend of mine, Grady. On most of my trips back to Tyler, I would stop by Dr Baskin's home and chat with him about innocent times of our childhood. Having lost my Mom a few years back, I can feel the pain The Baskin family is experiencing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
