I was very happy to read this "real" obituary of the man Tom Benson truly was. (Not one of just another famous person!) Loving father, grandfather, friend and true Christian.

May happy memories rest in your hearts. You, the family, are blessed to have known the real Tom Benson. For many many years!

He certainly loved his family dearly as is enriched in the minds of all of us in NOLA. Reminiscing of days gone by it was evident how proud he was of all Rita's accomplishments with the sports teams. When he talked about Rene and Ryan and the other family members that weee busy with the dealerships he beamed with pride. GOD BLESS you all. He is at peace now and doesn't have to stress over unnecessary things. May GOD grant you all the peace knowing how much he loved and adored all of you. I can still see that grin when he talked about his children. We will never be the same without him and you all. There is a piece of NOLA that left with him and a piece of NOLA that yearns for the Benson family. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers
