Thomas Bourquin Obituary
Thomas E. Bourquin was reunited with his mother, Alice, father, Laurence and sister, Lou Ann on Sunday, May 7, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shirley; daughters, Lisa (Jeffrey) Wagner, Kristy (Paul Simmons) Kaufman; and grandchildren whom he loved very much, Lexi (his buddy), JP, Audrey, Haley, Wes; and sister, Judy (Manuel) Jimenez and nephews, Phil, Nik and Ted. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A 1976 graduate of Sylvania High School, Tom had an accounting degree from the University of Toledo and was previously employed at his father's accounting, Bourquin and Associates. He also worked at Foodtown, Clarklift and Key Bank. The outdoors was a place he loved to be; especially sitting by the fire pit, he also enjoyed grilling, baseball and visiting the shooting range. He was in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
A gathering will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 4441 Monroe Street, Toledo, OH, Friday, May 19, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service begins at 1:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and the staff at UTMC who gave wonderful care and support to us. You are angels.
