Thomas J. Broderick

Thomas Joseph Broderick, 5/28/39 - 12/9/15, of Deerfield Beach, FL., formerly of Holyoke, MA., died on December 9, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas G. and Bena Broderick, his wife Mary (Elaine), and his son Kevin. He is survived by his children: Mike & his wife Suzanne, Kelly Moss & her husband Joseph, Tom and his wife Nicole, and Jamie. He is also survived by his sisters Claire Mulford & her husband Dr. William, and Karen O'Keefe and her husband Harold (Skip), as well as his beloved grandchildren, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Tom worked at the Massachusetts State Lottery as a Beano Inspector and then western Regional Manager. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a graduate of Holyoke Community College. A former member of the Holyoke Board of Aldermen, he was a founder of the Holyoke G.A.L.S, a longtime Elk, and a proud member of the Nanstripet 10. He will be remembered as a loyal and loving husband to "his bride" Elaine, a wonderful Dad and brother, and a great friend. Dad once said that he lived life “full bore,” and he also said that he “never had a bad day, only a bad part of a day”. His love of life, huge spirit, boundless energy, passion for people and their stories, and desire to help others will never be forgotten. We look forward to the day when we can be with him again.
