Sad to hear. Tom & I spent our very young years together growing up at UBC. Lost touch many years ago with Tom and his brothers but often think about them throughout the years . Hope to see him on the other side

I didn't get to spend as much time with you as I would have liked but just seeing the way your presence lights up Deb's face tells me how wonderful you are. RIP.

Tom was my best friend. He did more for me than I ever deserved. I will miss him hugely. My sympathies to Deb, David and the rest of the family.

Two opposites who had their hearts in the same place. You were an amazing friend and life mentor. Words can't describe how much I will miss you. I have never met two more genuine and warm people as yourself and Deb. You didn't discriminate - you tormented us all and we loved it! You're going to be missed by anyone lucky enough to know you. Thanks for everything TCF. See you on the flip side!

Everyone knew Tom as a master wordsmith but he was so much more. Tom's intellect and quick mind also shone in the thrust of major debates within the trade union movement. All his skills served all union members well.
During my twenty-plus years on staff with the CLC Tom had my continuous respect as a union brother. I took great pleasure from his friendship and his influence will live on.

Tom was a wonderful neighbour at Creekview Co-op. He was always generous with his smile, had a willingness to listen and to help out when he saw a need (he also loved to crack a joke or two whenever possible!)... his laugh filled the room...he was a kind man. My sympathy to all family members for the loss of your dear Tom.
