Susan, so sad Tom passed the same year as my father. Thank you for the wonderful memories of holiday meals and visits, and of course bulldogs. Hope you and the rest of the family are well. Joel Raymond

To us, Tom Carlson was Poppy. He was the strongest person we ever knew. He never gave up and never let his loved ones give up either. Whether it was swimming, riding bikes, or playing basketball, he encouraged us to keep going no matter what. We admire how he believed in and saw the best in everyone.

Having Poppy in our lives made us better people. He will be missed forever and will live on through the stories we share.

As the oldest of the ten Carlson cousins, I have many memories of our fun times at the farm. But his four college years while he lived at our home, were when he was like a brother to me. Beware any guy who came to take me out on a date! He'll always be thought of as special to all who knew him.

In 2004, my husband Marty, our two younger children and I met Tom and Susan for the first time at their home in Cambridge, Vermont. We purchased our first English Bulldog Mona from them. From that day forward, a dear friendship began. Tom and Susan have been dear friends, confidants and mentors to Marty and I. We will miss Tom dearly! Rest in Peace Tom.

I remember many times with Tom and Sue, but I especially remember our trip to Montreal to see the musical "Cats." A beautiful production and such fun traveling together.
