Candice and family,
I was heart broken to hear of Dr Carr´s passing. I was privileged to have worked with him for 14 years. As a new nurse practitioner , he taught me many things that to this day I still remember. Physicians came and went after he left but none ever compared to him , as a physician and as a person. His love for you and his boys was always evident when he would speak about each of you. A giant of a man gone much too soon.

Marty was at the Boy Scout National Jamboree year after year, on the medical staff. In 2005, I remember taking 2 sick boys to him and was told. "If you bring a third one here tomorrow I will quarantine your camping site and no one can leave until you are cleared." And he meant it. Marty we will all miss your skill and your wit.

My good friend Marty,
I mourn with your family and friends that your earthly journey has ended. But I am also deeply grateful to have worked along side you in Scouts and in medical staff leadership...too many tales to tell in this small space. My family holds yours in our hearts in the coming days.

Dr. Carr was a great Scout leader and better person. I got to spend time with him at Kia Kima. Always enjoyed his company.
