I have just heard the news of Tom's death. We had a lovely visit in August. For twenty seven years he has been an important presence in my life. This will not change. Thank you, Tom, for being a spiritual mentor and my friend.

Fr. Tom, I will miss you and have wonderful memories; officiating at my wedding, godfather to my daughter Kate, baptizing my son, Mike, coming to Mayo Quebec for my mother's large family reunion where you camped out and said Mass for all of us, and saying Mass for the Notre Dame High School reunion in 1994 for all of the alumna, with such understanding of the need for it to be a women's Mass.
When I think of these events, I will remember that when asked, you never hesitated in saying 'yes'. When I think of you, I will think of our many walks and talks that shaped my life. Thank you and I love you, my Friend
KATE couldn't be here today, so the attached photo is from a trip to Ireland we took in the Spring. She knows that Tom would have like this good Irish Whiskey when it had a name like Heny

The Cassidy's were life-long close friends of the Ouellette family. Father Thomas was like a brother to both my sister Pat and myself. We will always cherish the memories.

Was saddened to learn of Fr. Tom's passing. Have fond memories of him during our studies at St Paul's.
Always enjoyed visiting with him at CL conferences and I appreciated his wisdom and respect for others.

Our sincere sympathy Father Tom to your family and the Oblate family. Father Tom taught us at St. Patrick's High School from 1962-1967. He was always well prepared when he taught and was always there to help if the need arose. Tom, you were our teacher and our coach. You married us. You baptized all our children. You helped us say those difficult goodbyes to loved ones when they left us. Through it all, you were our spiritual pillar of strength and always a friend who made us feel good just being with you. We will never forget you. We will be together again. Until then.

Reminiscing with Tom at St. Pats 40th reunion was a highlight of 2012 and brought back many fond memories of the 1968 /1972 time frame that I came to know him. Thank you, Father Cassidy, for the very positive contribution to the ensuing 40 years.

I met Tom in 1977 and was blessed to be able to call him a life long friend. He was always there...from whitwater rafting on the Ottawa to sitting with me in times of grief and pain. Tom will always be missed in our home and remembered in our hearts.

It was good to see Tom at our 40th reunion in September.

Thank you Tom, our friend, for being a good listener during lifes ups and downs. We will miss you.

Tom was an important and well loved member of our extended family for the last 45 years; he was always there for us when needed. We treasured his company, his joie de vivre, and his spiritual guidance, friendship and love, in both times of great joy as well as in times of sadness and loss. While we will miss his physical presence in our lives, we know he'll continue to keep watch over us and he will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

A "good and faithful servant", missionary within the church as de Mazenod.

Tom will be in my thoughts and prayers and my sympathy to the family. I meet Tom at Holy Rosary, we often walked together and talked about the future. I was invited to share dinner with his family during the hollidays while I was at Holy Rosary and we kept in touch from time to time when I was in Ottawa. I recall him telling me he was the proud owner of mustard yellow pants when he was in high school. Thank God black became his basic fashion choice. RIP
