THOMAS E. COBURN II

COBURN, Thomas Edward II of East Falmouth, formerly of Framingham, died peacefully at home on November 4, 2022, at the age of 91. He was born in Weston on November 28, 1930, to the late Harold W. Coburn and Christine (Dennis) Coburn. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Jane (Grady) Coburn; son, Thomas E. Coburn III; his brother Captain Harold W. Coburn; and his sister-in-law, Jane (Murphy) Coburn. He is survived by his children, Mary Mulrow, and her late husband Thomas, Jane EI-Wailly and her husband Rafid, Catherine Coburn, Eileen Coburn and her husband Bernard and James W. Coburn and his partner Sherri. He is survived by his grandchildren, Patrick and Stephen, Andrea and Daniel, James, Christine and Charles, Tom, Emily, and Julia. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Dorothy Grady; his brother-in-law, Joe Clerico; and many nieces and nephews. He served honorably in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a long-time educator for the Framingham Public Schools, most notably as Principal of Hemenway Elementary School, where he spoke of his students as the best and the brightest. He also served as an adjunct professor at Framingham State University for many years. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 3 â€" 6 PM, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 475 Main Street, FALMOUTH, MA. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 10 AM, at St. Anthony's Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth, MA. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
