On Tuesday, March 28, 2017 Thomas E. Cosgrove Jr. of Potomac, MD. Beloved husband of Marguerite W. "Peggy" Cosgrove; loving father of Alexandra C. Mathers (Frank), Thomas E. Cosgrove III (Karen), Mauri C. Williams, Annette C. Hart, Shelley C. Fierstein (Don), Liz C. Cleaves (Craig), Isabelle C. Juhring (Kevin) and Jackie C. Thomas (Heath) ; brother of John C. Cosgrove. Also survived by 27 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1513 Dunster Road, Rockville, MD 20854 on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Dad you were the best a daughter could ever have. I had to look long and hard to find someone just like you and low and behold he was at the dinner table the whole time. (Lol)We had some long and crazy times at that kitchen table. But you never gave up on me. You will always be in my heart and prayers.. I know your up in heaven with a good cigar and telling someone "the point is" or "close your eyes and picture this"

My condolences to the family, and prayers for Tom.
I fondly recall the many Copenhaver picnics and our discussions about flying, which usually cleared the room quickly. It was also enjoyable watching Tom watch football at the "Copenhaver Gourmet Group" get-togethers.
Tom was a wonderfully unique person, and I was privileged to have shared a small portion of his life.
