One of the best teachers I've ever had. He was a huge influence on me (and my vocabulary). I loved reading these other messages, feeling the same way about him from my time at St. Mary's. My 8th grade son, who is an avid reader himself, is currently reading Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn because of him. Rest in peace Mr. Cummins.

He was the best Literature Teacher I ever had. Loved all the books we read in our 7 & 8th grade classes at St. Mary's in Bedford back in late 1978-1980. Rest In Peace Mr. Cummins

Mr. Cummins was always full of energy when given the chance to read aloud with the class. Boy, did he get into it. His current events class was always my favorite. Lobos for life !

Find memories of him as my teacher and principal. He was an inspiration to many.

Former student

I am one of his former students who will be forever grateful. Mr. Cummins brought literature to life. I can close my eyes and still hear him read from Hamlet, Grapes of Wrath, Tom Sawyer and Agatha Christie novels. He was one of a kind. My sincere condolences to his family.
