Tom taught me more about horses than anyone I ever met. He knew all about them, from the inside--out. We used to go carriage driving with my pony, Dancer, all around country roads in Pinkney, near Hell Creek Ranch, where I kept Dancer. These were some of the happiest days of my life. And, I'll never forget the joy and laughter we shared on those wonderful carriage rides! I'll always remember you, Tom, always. Thank you for everything.

My first memory of my dad, was when I was about 1years old. We were standing on the west side of our huge red barn and my dad was kneeling down. I was right between his legs, and he had his arms out in front of me so couldn't jump in the 12' x 5' deep trench he had Sam Genteelly dig in front of the barn yard . I remember seeing the the water rushing from under cedar lake rd which was rushing past my feet .
I felt safer than any little kid in this whole big world could feel because my dad had a good grip on me. I couldn't jump. He knew I had his fearless heart.
I really want to thank every one of my dads good friends and family for coming to my dads " Last Buggy ride to the Golden Gates of Heaven."
I forget the owners name of Borek Jennings Funeral Home, in Pinckney, but he's a good dude and I thank him also.

My thoughts and prayers to Mary, TJ and Sam. I'm heartbroken about Tom's passing. Tom taught me to ride when I was 7, sold my dad my first horse when I was 10, and welcomed me back to work on the ranch when I was in college. He taught me true horsemanship. My best memories are working and riding with Tom. He will always have a special place in my heart. Rest in peace.

Tom Davis was my EVERYTHING...This is a man I thought could never die...he was kind, strong, smart, funny, compassionate, fair, Fhreliable...and wasn't afraid of anything even death...I miss his face and that special twinkle in his blue eyes. I'm going to miss our daily country cruises in car...we just love spending time with eachother singing & laughing. No one in this world meant more to me than Tom...I know one day we'll see eachother again and be together forever like we always said we would.

My heart is broken over the loss of my good friend & best boss I ever had in life. Tom welcomed me into his Hell Creek Ranch as a customer & then horseback riding instructor/employee. His long time companion Mary became my best friend. Because of Tom & his ranch, we had the best times working & playing together with the many herd of horses he cared for through the years. My sincere condolences go out Mary who made Tom's life richer, as they shared their love of horses together & made Hell Creek Ranch one of the finest riding stables in the country. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Tom's family; sons TJ & Sam, who I also worked with at the Ranch. My years spent at the Ranch with Tom, Mary & the horses were some of the best days of my life. I owe so much to Tom for bringing joy into my life. I feel so blessed to have known him & will miss everything about him....his laugh, smile, sense of humor & kind heart. Tom was a beautiful soul & he will be missed, but never forgotten. May God welcome you into his Kingdom for life everlasting. Heaven has just received an amazing angel. I know Tom is celebrating with all the many loved ones & horses who have been waiting for him to show up at the biggest rodeo in Heaven. Happy Trails to you Tom. I'll see you on the other side...I'll be the redhead riding the big white horse. Love & Hugs...Linder

I first remember seeing Tom and his family at Sunday Mass at St Mary's back in the 1950's. Many Portage Lake memories also.
Blessings to all of you.
