THE GOLF COURSE IN THE SKY
As eighteen flags flew at half mast, and
Glasses were soberly raised high
The latest member was having a ball
At the golf course in the sky
Freed from the gravity of the situation
The first tee shot soared through space
Bringing a wondrous, beaming smile
To a kind, down to earth face
Surrounded by old club friends
Once thought never to be seen again
The infinity course beckoned ahead
Eighteen holes were for mere mortal men

Many friends that have passed before Tom, including Doug, are having perfect rounds of golf in heaven.

Doug and I considered Tom a good friend. Doug played golf with Tom in a couple of leagues and I joined the guys in our Saturday outings. Doug passed away 5 years ago but Tom and I kept in touch through the years. We talked about family, golf and basketball. We are huge Spartan fans also. Tom always would text when he saw Doug´s son reffing the Spartans in men´s basketball. In fact he texted me a few days before he died letting me know he was watching the game. What a great guy! I´ll be thinking of all of you at the COL on June 28th.

I had the pleasure and honor of having Tom as my golf partner for the MDOT League. He was a very accomplished golfer and much more than that he was one of the finest human beings I´ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is looking down on us from Heaven with that smile of his. Rest in peace my friend.

Shannon and Kylea,
I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Tom´s passing. He was a great person. Always smiling and happy and seemingly always golfing. I have fond memories hanging out with him and my dad at the bowling alley on Friday nights. He will be missed.

Tom and I graduated together from Resurrection High School in Lansing, Michigan in 1963. We were good friends. I loved sharing the dinner table with Tom at our 60th Class Reunion this past September. He was alway fun to be with.
Tom always did the right thing even when he knew no one was looking. if no one was listening he always said the right thing. He cared when it didn't matter so that when it did he was well practiced at it.
He was a kind, gentle and beautiful friend. I, we, will miss him greatly.
To his family...We loved him as you did. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Now he "Drags the gut" with the Angels.
Your loss is our profound sadness.

So sad for your family. I met Tom over 50 years ago `cruising the gut´ in his corvette in downtown Lansing. He was so handsome and one of the nicest guys around. Always remembered him when someone talked about `the gut´.
