Thomas F. Doherty, 85, longtime resident of Brooklyn, CT and husband to his beloved wife Linda Beth Doherty passed away on Friday April 18, 2025. He was born in New York City on January 7, 1940, and was raised in Springfield, NJ. He was the son of the late Theresa (Egan) and Thomas Doherty.

Tom graduated from Springfield College and Lehigh University with degrees in Education and Industrial Engineering. He worked in various engineering roles and senior leadership positions including work as a consultant. Additionally, he was an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern University. He was also chairman of the local Performing Arts of NE CT, a member of Brooklyn Planning and Zoning, and a longstanding supporter of the Audubon Society.

Tom is survived by his cherished wife (Beth) of 60 years and his twins Michael Doherty and his wife Julie and Rebecca Rodick and her husband Jeff as well as his two grandchildren Zachary and Masen.

Tom was an avid golfer, New York Yankees fan and New England sports enthusiast.

A Celebration of Tom's life will be held in June, details will be announced. His family wishes to give a special thank you to Cindy Plante for her longtime friendship and support with the family. An additional thanks goes out to the ICU and palliative care nurses and doctors at UMASS in Worcester.
