My father was a kind, giving and gentle man who lived his life to the fullest.
I thank God this great man came into my life when I was 13 after my biological father passed away suddenly. I could have never had a better role model as I was growing up. He was a good, honest, fair and happy man.
We enjoyed many happy years together going to hockey games, playing golf, vacationing on our many cruises and his visits to Florida.
I'm grateful that I did get the opportunity on my last visit to tell him what a great influence he had on my life and how fortunate I was to have him as my dad. I also told him how much I loved him, never realizing then, it would be the last time I would ever see him. I am so proud and fortunate to call this wonderful man my Dad for over 50 years.
May you Rest In Peace dear Dad.

Condolences to the Donoghue family and friends of Tom.

When I was a fledgling Postal Inspector in Portland, Maine, Tom was always incredibly patient, helpful and generous with his time in accident investigations. I always enjoyed his company. Years later when I returned to evening college to get a second degree at Boston College, I ran into Tom again at various football functions and he hadn't changed a bit; he was always affable, friendly and caring.

Tom was a very special person and I sincerely hope and pray that we will meet again on the other side.
