It seems like it was not so long ago that we last saw Tom. I have since lost my Dad Phil Burke, so he is now with his Buddy Tom. My mom mentions him often reminiscing about the Army reunions. Rest in Peace Tom. We miss you.

A true Gentleman and a wonderful man. He was so kind to me and my family.. Hadn't been in touch for a while but was reduced to tears when I read this. Loved you Tom

Hi Tom, we were thinking about you last Sunday, but pretty much all the time..... We were sitting at the Dune Bar. Larry T, Mariel and myself were reflecting on the profound presence you made in so many lives. You are certainly missed.

Totally appropriate that Mr. Flynn's guest book remains permanently open due to his daughter's love and respect for their dad. He will remain always alive in my heart, as well. He not only was my dad's travel companion around the world, but my boss, my friend, my childrens' friend through theiir youth and adulthood, and I could go on and on... Still miss him, so, long may he live in the hearts of many....

Tom was a wonderful friend to my family. He fought in Task Force Smith in Korea with my Father. He always had a smile on his face and that wonderful Irish twinkle in his eyes. We will miss him dearly.

I only learned of Tom's passing while viewing the In Memoriam section of www.kwva.org and am most sorry at his passing. I only knew him via the phone, and relatively recently at that, but we had a warm visit. My sympathies to his survivors. A fellow Korean War Vet of the
24th Infantry Division.

How wonderful your smile, your laugh and your love of life. You always made everyone feel loved. You were a special person in my life who I will always cherish. Thank you!

Tom Flynn put a smile on every face he saw. I will miss him at the Yacht Club, and will remember the pure joy that radiated from this great man.

I will miss you brother. You made me proud to put this uniform on. It was because of men like you who supported us when others look down at us that we were able to find the courage to stand up for what we believe in.

I have known him for almost 40 years through my employment at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He was so well known in the international trade community as one who would lend a helping hand to whomever asked for his guidance, support, wisdom, and mentoring. He always greeted people with that big Irish smile! He loved a good time, his friends and his family. May he rest in peace. I will celebrate his life with a shot, or maybe two of Irish Whiskey! He will be missed. God Bless him and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tom was an old and dear friend...not just from the Emerald Society where I first met him....but all the great social times at the Taurus and lots of other drinking establishments. Tom was always warm and generous. Yes, Tom, you are right..."Up the Irish". You are the best.

I am profoundly sorry to learn of the death of our friend Tom. I am sending my deepest sympathy to his family.

I'd like to add that my Uncle Tom was a Korean War hero. He was decorated for pulling out one of his wounded squad members while under machine gun fire. He also held off an enemy charge single-handedly by using all his squad's mortars (he was the only non-wounded squad member) running down and back, refilling the mortars as he ran. At the young age of 19, he was a true hero.

I feel blessed to have had Sir Flynn as my friend. In the midst of his very busy life he did his best to make time for everyone.

We have so many things to to thank Tom
for he was a Great Ambassador for all the Australians living in South Florida always had that helping hand out to help us. So many of us will miss our "Mate" he was one hell of a bloke.
It was Tom who brought us all together
and we are forever grateful for that.

Dear Vickie and Mary Ann, I am saddened by the news of your dad's passing. I worked in the office with Rosy during the consulate days. "Mr. Flynn" taught me so much in the freight forwarding business which always some how related to life in general. That's just how your dad ran things. Tom put it all together in some magical way. Today, (you're not going to believe it ) we make the shipping files the way he taught me in the office!!!!!

Your dad has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. He and my dad were best of friends, and as he loved to say, they "traveled the world together". I was on the phone with him when he was telling you to book your trip for Thanksgiving, Vicky! I know no matter how many awards and achievments he had, the greatest treasures ALWAYS have been his girls. I loved your daddy, and he was MY DADDY'S best friend. I grieve his passing, and am so sorry for your loss.
