Earlier today

Thomas has been a fixture in my life for over two decades since I moved to Orange County, CA. I was privileged to learn a great deal about him over the years from his unexpected childhood challenges, the accomplishments of his consulting career, the efforts he put into making sure Pam got the best possible medical care, and to his frequent sharing about his children and extended family.

In the end, I remember him the most for his relentless intellectual curiosity, his ability to trully master a topic once he trained his full attention to it. He was, for the most part, the smartest guy in the room anywhere he went.

Some of my favorite memories of Thomas involve him sharing on Zoom the amazing collection of rocks, crystals, and gems. He was a man who carved out a great path for himself. I was glad to call him a friend and I'll miss him greatly.

It was my privilege to conduct business with Tom for the past 34 years. He was very exacting in his business transactions, yet he was always cordial and considerate.

His electrical engineering education and career required a high level of intelligence and creative flexibility. He studied every subject seriously and had a very rapid learning curve, which extended into philosophical issues. In our intellectual exchanges, there was no topic of discussion prohibited or beyond his capacity to absorb in a meaningful way. He manifested intelligence on both philosophical and pragmatic levels.

I could always rely on him to offer me sound advice on personal matters. Kevin, I am very sorry for your loss. Your father will always be remembered fondly in PMZ circles.

Dear Cousin, we have many memories of growing up in St.Louis with all the Green boys. He will be missed by all his family.

As a sober person recently relocated to CA from OH, finding meetings with the right "vibe" for me was a challenge. Tom started the Monday nite, As Bill Sees It, meeting some years ago. Even though it was often sparcely attended, Tom was always faithfully there to greet people and impart his many years of wisdom and experience in recovery. Thank you Tom, for being a beacon and a great example of the AA responsibility phrase: " I am responsible, when anyone, anywhere reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that: I am responsible" Rest in Peace friend.
Respectfully, Avery S.
