When Tom moved from NJ to OR, I helped him drive cross country, with the help of another Valley buddy, Pete the Uke. If you know Tom well, you know patience was not his strongest virtue, so you can imagine what 3 days driving with Tommy was like, especially when Pete, while driving, did not always keep his eyes on the road. And then while looking back at me in the back seat had to suddenly react to a 1200 pound elk in the middle of the road, staring at us. Tom flashed that look he inherited directly from his Dad with his eyes bugging out of his face as his whole head turned beet red. To say the least, it was a a moment, among many with Tom, that I will never forget.
Tom was one of the very BEST friends I could have ever hoped for.

Tommy was my brother-in law but I considered him my big brother also. I loved him with all my heart and will miss our long distance phone conversations.

He was obsessed with bridges going up at 3 pm in Avon by the sea. Rose knows I loved him to my deepest core .
