I am Bobby Bishop and I had not heard from Tom in a while. when i checked his Facebook profile it was blank and I was saddened to discover his passing away.

I have known Tom since 1969 when we were stationed with VMCJ-2 at Cherry Point, NC. I had lost track of him until i went to MCRD San Diego in the late 1990´s. At my request, he came to Houston to be a guest speaker for our Texas Marines Association.

I consider him a good person, a good Marine and a good friend. Semper Fi Brother until we meet at Heaven´s Gates.

Tom and I were golf partners. We´d hit the links early several times a week. Regardless of Tom´s game, never once can I remember him throwing his clubs or using a bad word to express his feelings. He will truly be missed!
