Thomas HOLBERTON Obituary
May 7, 1951 – February 8, 2014
Tom left us peacefully after courageously fighting a fast growing brain tumor, in Edmonton on Saturday February 8, 2014.
A loving father, husband, brother, uncle and friend. Left to mourn and celebrate his life (wife) Kathy Snider Holberton, (daughter) Kimberly Holberton, (daughter) Tanya Holberton, (son) Dion Holberton and two grandchildren Dean and Sara. Also missing him (twin sister) Isabella (Auntie Chick) Holberton, many nieces and nephews and his extended family on both the Holberton and Snider sides of the family. All of whom will miss his teasing and loving nature.
Tom was predeceased by (father) William Leslie Holberton, (mother) Mabel Mildred Holberton Preece, (stepfather) Collin Preece, (sisters) Lorna Hazel Ulvestad and Georgia Lynn Ajtai.
A Memorial Service celebrating Tom's life will be held at St. Augustine's Parkland Anglican Church (131 Church Road, Spruce Grove, AB) on Saturday February 15, 2014 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Tom's name to Fort McMurray Minor Hockey or Edmonton Minor Hockey with the intent to get underprivileged kids into sports.

Such a beautiful spirit - Tom always made me feel like i was an extension of his family -- with welcome arms. His heart was always larger than his presence. My love and deepest sympathy extends to the Holberton family and friends. Rest well my friend.

My condolences to Tom's family. I had the privilege of working with him and enjoyed his teasing and boisterousness. I will always like the Flames (a little bit) because of him.

A unique man, a man who touched many folks both professionally and in the minor sports field. Although we may not have always agreed on details, we always agreed on the bigger picture. A tremendous work partner, a good friend and a fine family man. God's speed Tom you are surely missed by many.

I am going to miss Tom and Sam's debates during our meetings at work. You could always count on Tom to share his opinion, no matter what it was he would share it!! LOL!!!

Tom was one of a kind, he was an encylopedia for us at work. He would teach you everything you wanted to know and tease you while doing it. I pray you can take comfort in remembering the good times you had with Tom and never forget that laugh!
