I knew Tom only briefly when we lived a block apart in Grand Rapids and enjoyed some distance training runs together. So easy to tell after only a few minutes what a quality person he was and that there was an atypical depth to him. Condolences to those he loved.

I just heard and am very sad. We met at Calvin, I was a student from Amsterdam. We did our first 1/4 triatlon together in MI. It was my last and Tom did many more after. We kind off lost contact over the years but I will always remember him. My condolences to his wife, children family and friends.
