Thomas Edgar Jacques, Sr

Thomas Edgar Jacques Sr, 67, of Middletown, CT, formerly of Enfield passed away August 29. 2025 with his wife Roberta by his side, at UCONN John Dempsey Hospital after a short but valiant fight with cancer.

Tom was born in Hartford CT to the late Armand & Anna Jacques & grew up in East Hartford & East Windsor.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Roberta, his children by a previous marriage Tommy, Lisa & Amy Jacques & his beloved granddaughter Helena. He is also survived by his brother Ernie (Peg) Jacques, his sister Roseanne Jacques, his nephew Skip who he had a special bond with, his wife Leidy & their children Samantha & Julian. He is also survived by his extended family, Roberta's sons, daughter in laws & grandchildren who lovingly called him Grampy Tom. Also nieces Lori, Amanda & Carie (Nick) as well as numerous cousins & former ex relatives.

Tom was a jokester & was always making people laugh with his quirky sense of humor. He was kind, thoughtful, caring & had an unwavering love for his family & friends. He was so grateful for everything he had & every night in his prayers. He had many friends & made new friends everywhere he went. & was loved by all.

Tom had an infinite love of 60's & 70's music of which he had a vast collection of cds & knowledge of every musician of the era. Tom played several instruments including drums, guitars, harmonicas. His wish in retirement was to record his own music. He loved nature, the beach, swimming, hiking, karaoke & his nightly setback games with Roberta.

He was a member of the Glastonbury Elks & the French Social Club. At the time of his death he was working as a quality control inspector in the aerospace industry.

As per his wishes he was cremated. There will be a celebration of life held at the family's convenience & will be updated by Roberta.
