Although I have heard many wonderful stories over the years, I only met Tom a few times. His quick wit and joyful humor were sure to put a smile on your face almost instantly. He was a beloved father who will forever be greatly missed and fondly remembered; an inspiring soul that we lost all too soon. My deepest sympathies go out to the Lauterbach family.

To the Lauterbach Family
I was so saddened to hear of Tom's passing. I worked for Tom for 11 years at the bar, before and after the fire, he took a chance on me as a bartender who had no experience, and i am grateful for that still to this day. I have so many fond memories that i will cherish. He will be missed. My condolences to you all.

Sue and Sarah
My heart goes out to all of you at this sad time. I was fortunate to meet Sue and Tom thru Sarah playing volleyball with my daughter Brittany. We had many talks sitting there watching the girls play, and thru those talks I came to know two very special parents/friends. I will continue to pray for all of you. God needed another angel to watch over all of us and Tom will be there to watch all of us.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Lauterbach family. As a sorority sister of his daughters, I only met him once, but felt like I knew him well from all of the stories and love they had for him. If his daughters are any indication of him as a man, then he was a great one.

To a great man, son, husband and most importantly.. father. It deeply saddens me to think that you are gone. I have nothing but great memories of you, as a friend and an employer, both before and after the fire. You were there for me many, many times to lean on, for guidance, and both, moral & financial support when I was struggling young man. You will never be forgotten, and always be remembered! God must have had a light bulb out, up there or something, but for some reason he needs you up there. One day we will all see you up there, have a stool waiting for us. To Mrs. Lauterbach, Sue, Kristen & Sara, my heart and prayers are with you. Please look to the lord to find the mental and pyhsical strength you need to get through this time of sorrow. May God watch over and bless you all.
