Thomas Maxwell Obituary
Tom was born in Birmingham on November 14, 1946, to father Marvin J Maxwell and mother Mary Jane Maxwell. Attended Phillips High School and graduated from James Island High School, Charleston, SC. Played baseball at Jacksonville State University.
Tom's work ethic and desire to take care of his family led to him enlisting in the Air Force at age 22. He was stationed in Kessler AFB from 1968 -1971.
Aside from his love for baseball, Tom was passionate about giving back. He was always the first to help friends or donate to a fundraiser or local church.
Tom is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Dorminey (Keith) of Atlanta, GA and Carrie Dickinson (Mike) of Winder, GA; grandkids, Jacob Dickinson, Lilly Birt, Johnny Dickinson, and Michael Dickinson. He is also survived by his brother and sisters, Joel Maxwell, Susan Kidd and Deborah Dean. A Celebration Of Life will be held in Charleston, SC at a later date.

Tommy lived down the street from us in Norwood. Patti has been one of my best friends growing up! I was so glad I got to talk and reminisce with them both at one of our class reunions! They were both great friends! Prayers and love to all!
