Thomas Franklin McAnally, born July 29, 1928 in Taft, California, passed away on June 23, 2015 in Roseville, California surrounded by loved ones. Preceded in death by parents John F. & Pearl Hazel Brannum McAnally, sisters Ola, Mary, Wilseydee and Johnavee; devoted wife of 66 years Betty, and four sons Thomas D. (Junie), David, Stephen and Paul (Karla) McAnally, he is survived by son Timothy (Wendi) McAnally and daughter Bethany (Jim), and 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
As a union journeyman carpenter who worked on countless homes & businesses in the Lincoln and Sacramento area, he was proud of his 64 year membership in Local 46, United Brotherhood of Carpenters. After "retirement", he studied and became an ordained minister; supervising church building projects, teaching Sunday School and leading Bible study groups at Lincoln Christian Life, Grace Life (Harvest Time), and Spring Valley churches. A Placer County resident for 69 years, it was through his quiet and thoughtful style, wit without sarcasm, and genuine compassion that he touched so many lives and enjoyed such lasting friendships.
A memorial service honoring his life with us, and celebrating his receipt into the loving arms of Jesus Christ his professed Savior, will be held on Saturday July 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Valley Church, 2640 Sunset Blvd, Rocklin, Calif.

Tom was a very special man in my life. Growing up, at any given time when things were tough, I could count on him to be there with that quiet smile and somehow always make me feel better. He was there for me when each of my parents passed and was such a strong anchor for me when I needed it. He was always such a great example of the Christian spirit, RIP Tom, you will be missed.

I loved watching Tom dance with Joy before the Lord....now he is able to dance with the Lord and all the saints....miss you Dear friend...see you again soon.
