Most of us learn to love this very interesting earthly interval that comes between the period of our birth into our body, and our re-birth out of our body, for we have the desire to find joy in life, to give to it, to be thrilled by it and to achieve worth in it, but we must also strive to remember that life is not a destination, but a journey; and we should ultimately look with calm anticipation and with faith and love as to where the journey leads.
Therefore, as we think of our departed classmate, also, think of Tom as:

Stepping ashore and finding Heaven…
Taking hold of a hand and finding it is God's hand…
Breathing new air and finding it is celestial air…
Of feeling invigorated and finding that it is immortality!

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. We were classmates at C'ville High and I remember him as a really nice, special guy. Sending prayers of comfort for all his family and friends.
