Thomas "Mike" Michael McDonough, age 71, of Baltimore County, MD, passed away on April 24, 2024. He was born on March 1, 1953, in Baltimore, MD.

Mike was a caring husband, father, and grandfather. He served as the Deputy State Prosecutor of MD for 34 years, handling numerous high-profile cases. In addition to his legal career, Mike was actively involved in his community through recreational sports and his church.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, sons Jeremy and David, their wives Casey and Hilary, and his 5 grandchildren Norah, Ben, Violet, Brickie, and Harry. Also mourning his loss are his mother Marion McDonough, sisters Carol and Joyce, and their families. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Joseph McDonough.

Educated at Oakleigh Elementary, Loch Raven Junior High, Parkville High, Towson University (BS in English), and the University of Baltimore (JD), Mike had a successful career as a prosecuting attorney for the state of MD.

In his free time, Mike enjoyed playing golf, reading, solving crossword puzzles, listening to music, and working on handyman projects.

Services will be held on June 1st at St. John's Lutheran Church in Parkville, with visitation at 2:30 pm and the service at 3 pm. Contributions in Mike's memory can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Parkville or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

May he rest in peace.

It was my great pleasure and joy to sing in the St. John´s Lutheran Church choir with Mike for many years. He was a true servant of God. I will miss him greatly someday we will sing together again and that wonderful heavenly choir.
