Dear Diane,
We just found out about your loss in church today because we were out of town. What a loss to you and your family! I also passed you on the way to communion and resisted the temptation to give you a big hug! Our sympathies.

Diane, Laura & Lisa - I know your hearts are breaking but your love will carry you through to a time of less sorrow. Tom was always so welcoming to all of us at your wonderfully hosted HM gatherings at your home. Diane, your Tommy will always be with you through precious memories. Laura & Lisa, how lucky your dad was to be able to be with your daughters & make memories for a new generation. Sending all of you my prayers.

Dear, Diane.

I am so sorry about the loss of your Tom. I remember fondly a dinner with him (and the entire HMCo crew) following a Milwaukee math presentation years ago. He was so much fun and full of wit. Of course, the fact he was a BC grad put him in great stead with me!

Sending you (and your beautiful girls) many prayers today, and always.

Love,
Mary Connolly

Let me try this a SECOND time, as what I wrote yesterday turned up BLANK on here and I'm so very disappointed because I was coming straight from the heart.

To Lady Di, Laura, Lisa, the husbands and most definitely the beautiful grandbabies Tom fell in love with before they were even born...

My heart is broken. I am SOOOOO very sorry for your loss. I was very fond of Tom and enjoyed working with him the past 6.5 years.

Tom was a truly generous and kind gentleman with a hearty laugh I can still hear ringing in my ears. I will miss his jokes, and especially his stories about naming the new husbands Mr. Wonderful and Mr. Wunderful!

He loved and adored you, Diane, Laura and Lisa, and the baby girls - Abigail and Cora - lifted his spirits to another plateau. He beamed with joy every time he spoke of being with them.

So, with much sadness I say once again how very, very sorry I am for the loss of your beloved "Tommy", yet I'm happy he's resting in the Master's arms.

I will continue to pray that God comforts you ALL during this season.

Dear Diane, Laura & Lisa,
I was so very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear husband and soulmate Diane, and Lisa & Laura your wonderful father. He loved you all so very much. I remember Tom's booming laughter, teasing Erika & Ashlee, and enjoying friends and family at gatherings at home and at the farm. He had a strong, gentle spirit and dry wit - such a wonderful combination. The girls and I always felt "at home" at the McGinn's surrounded by warmth & evident love of family. It seems like yesterday that the girls were young and laughter filled our hearts...
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of deep sorrow.
With my deepest sympathy,
Beth Doria

Hello Diane, Lisa, and Laura. This is Terri Woolfork, Tom's secretary for several years. My heart sincerely feels a loss. I have fond memories of how happy and proud Tom would be while walking through the office carrying a beautiful dress for a father/daughter dance. Your family is full of love - I pray that that love brings peace for you during this time.

My deepest sympathy to the McGinn family on the loss of Tom. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. My fondest memory is his naming a group of Diane's HMH friends the "Divas". We visited their Vero Beach home and he made sure that we enjoyed every minute, had delicious meals & shared many laughs. Every time I look at my dolphin wine bottle holder I will think back on those memories and this beloved man. Please accept my condolences.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
The heavens above,
Are now graced with you!

For dear cousin Tom,
Taken what seems too soon,
Your presence on Earth,
Was obviously a boon!

For you touched many lives,
In your 68 years,
Our Bob McGinn Family,
Is distraught with tears!

For you and Diane,
Kept the McGinn connection alive,
It meant the world to our folks,
And us siblings who survive!

For although our parents,
No longer dwell among us,
'Tis the McGinn family tradition,
That continues to flourish!

So let's raise a glass,
To dearest Tommy McGinn,
A treasure to have known,
And soon hope to see again!

Enjoy your heavenly reward - dear cousin - say hi to my mom & dad! Love, Mary McGinn Alderson

I had the great pleasure of getting to really know my cousin Tom these past many years as we celebrated weekly mass together at St. Jude. We go to breakfast at Pegasus, or as my father, Toms uncle, would say Pagadis, almost every week and we would solve the problems of the world. He would mostly talk about his love for his children and grandchildren. Since the passing of my mother in 2008, Tom and Diane always include my father in their weekly plans. The Dr. David Foley family will forever be grateful for the love they have shown our father. Very few people truly find the love of their life and Tom is blessed to have lived his life with his soul mate Diane. They embody what a loving couple should be and have been an inspiration to us all. We will miss Tom at Pagadis, but every once in awhile I'll order oatmeal and raisins in his honor, it's just too bad that he won't be there to pick-up the check.

Dear Diane & Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with the passing of Tom. Tom was a tremendous gift to you and your family as well as the many people whose lives were touched by him. I can't begin to share the sorrow I hold for all of you, including your close friends who knew him so well. It is our faith in the Risen Christ that strengthens us to believe that Tom's "life is simply changed not ended." Know I hold you in prayer during this difficult time as well as the days ahead.

I wish there were words to lighten the grief. Mrs. McGinn, Laura, and Lisa, please know that you are loved dearly. The entire McGinn family is in my thoughts. Nothing is more prominent in my memories of Mr. McGinn than the palpable love that was ever-present as he and Mrs. McGinn raised Laura and Lisa into the wonderful people they are today. His face constantly beamed with pride in the presence of the McGinn ladies. I can only imagine the magnitude of pride and love he has for those charming grandbabies as well. I wish you all comfort in remembering that his love for his family is not gone with him.
Love to you all,
Rachel (Kober) Camarata
