McGUIRE THOMAS F. "TOM"
Age 82, of Upper St. Clair, entered the earth on December 5, 1930 and died on December 25, 2012, after a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Alice Theresa McGuire; his adoring children, Kevin (Deborah Ganelin) McGuire, Patrick (Mary Jo) McGuire, Brendan (Liz) McGuire, and Karen (Scott) Hamilton; and his beloved grandsons, Gabriel, Kaelan, A.J., Michael, Marty, Jack, Patrick, Matthew, Timmy, and Keith; his siblings, Richard (Jean) McGuire, Peggy (Ted) Stahura, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Margaret McGuire and his brothers, Marty and Dennis. Tom was born and raised in Gary, IN and graduated from Emerson High School in 1948. He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN in 1956 and was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from U.S. Steel and Koppers Company and owned his own firm, Realty Appraisers, Inc. He had a kind, polite demeanor to all he knew, family, friends, and business associates alike. Wherever he was, Tom was always good for a smile and a hearty laugh. He saw education as the path towards confidence and optimism. Never judgemental, he enjoyed any book or conversation that was well informed and he encouraged his children and others to do the same. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS.
