Thomas John "Johnny" McIntyre, III, age 65, died February 23, 2009, in Nashville, TN, after a lengthy illness. His body was cremated, and a memorial service was held Saturday, February 28, 2009, with Dr. Lemuel Wade officiating at Woodbine Funeral Home – Hickory Chapel in Nashville. Mr. McIntyre was born December 27, 1943, in Columbus to the late Thomas John McIntyre, Jr. and Margaret Louise Hudson McIntyre. A longtime resident of Nashville, he had been an agent with Life and Casualty and American General Life Insurance for over 30 years. He was a 1962 graduate of S. D. Lee High School, where he played in the Lee High Generals marching band. He attended Copiah Lincoln Community College and MSU. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents - Thomas F. and Mabel Owen Hudson and Thomas J. and Louise Peralta McIntyre; several aunts and uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife - Cissy Banning McIntyre of Nashville; his children - Thomas J. "Tee" McIntyre, IV of Washington, DC; Jessica Leah McIntyre of Nashville and Kim Bruser (Mark); and grandchildren - Lauren and Lilly, all of New Orleans; brothers - Floyd Hudson McIntyre (Beverly) of Columbus, MS and David Owen McIntyre (Betsy) of Plano, TX; aunts - Jeanette J. Hudson (Mrs. Thomas F., Jr.) of Shubuta, MS and Dorothy R. McIntyre (Mrs. W.H.) of Columbus; two nieces and many McIntyre and Hudson cousins. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2008 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
