Thomas Patrick McPhillips Jr

Thomas Mcphillips Jr. passed away on Sunday evening, February 23, 2025, in West Palm Beach. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 7, 1927. He was second-generation Irish-American through his mother, Kathleen, and a third-generation Irish-American through his father, Thomas McPhillips Sr. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School. He attended John Carroll University and graduated from Case Western Reserve University.

Thomas' ambition enabled him to transform his father's small plumbing business - once operated from a horse and cart in 1907 - into an HVAC corporation that remains a major presence in Cleveland to this day.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Kathleen, Patricia, and Marianne; his son, Tom III; and his grandchildren: Rowan and JT (Patricia's children); Kristen, Kyle, and Sean (Tom's children); Justin (Marianne's child); and John and Michael (Kathleen's children).

Thomas will be remembered as a quick-witted Irishman with a good story to tell and a man always ready for a hearty laugh. He loved tennis, swimming, playing sports with his children, and traveling back to Ireland. He traveled extensively with his friend, Father St. Marie, and they shared many amusing tales from the road. A World War II veteran, a hardworking businessman, a man of God, and a loving father and grandfather, Tom had a smile for everyone he met.
