My condolences to Lori and the family.
I had the privilege and the pleasure of working with Tom Miller at NJDOT for the past 35 years. Tom was a humanitarian and also had a unique sense of humor. He could make anyone laugh at any time. At work he often kept us in stitches which made the workplace more bearable for everyone. I think Tom will be remembered by many for the way he befriended everyone making them feel like they really mattered, “and to him, they really did”.
He’ll be remembered as our CWA union rep and for his unfailing ability and his courage to speak up, whenever necessary, to “anyone”, individuals, groups, employers, government officials, politicians, or whomever he needed to, clearly and articulately on behalf of his co-workers and entire community but always as a gentleman and in a very civilized and appropriate manner (a rare talent nowadays).
But without a doubt Tom’s very favorite topic at work was his family whom he loved so much, his wife Lori, his daughter Helen (Joe), his son Tommy (Melissa), and his three grandsons Sean, Ryan and Nick all of whom he was especially proud.
Tom was a terrific friend and I miss the daily political discussions as well as the camaraderie and the goofing off. May he rest in peace always.

Lori and family, Chris and I are so sorry for your loss. I truly enjoyed chatting with you and Tom at JoAnne and Mike’s Christmas parties. Tom was always fun to converse with. It was nice to catch up with you two in Ocean City as well. Tom will be sorely missed. Hope your happy memories will comfort you somewhat.

Mr. Miller showed great kindness and compassion towards those less fortunate than him and was very highly respected throughout his community and profession. His life only brought credit upon him and his family. His passing leaves a gap in all of our lives. The Camden County NAACP Branch #2080 would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Mrs. Lori Miller and family at this time. His passing will be mourned by all those who loved him.

Dear family....... I have great memories of Tommy as we were altar boys at St. Peter's parish in Pleasantville. He was a fine friend and gentleman even then , and although our paths crossed only once ,(since we attended different high schools), I never forgot him. We had great times together during those early years at ST.Pete's. His sisters, I recall , were two fine ladies. Looks like He and his Wife enjoyed life! My wife Kathleen's and my prayers go out to all of you. Walt

A friend in every sense of the word...your family became my family when I moved back to NJ. It was difficult not to visit you at home due to CoVid, but I'm grateful for the telephone and FaceTime. Lori, Helen, Joe, Tommy jr, and those wonderful grandkids Nick, Ryan and Sean brought you love that can't be measured. I will miss you big time old friend.

I am so saddened by Tom's passing. You could always count on Tom for interesting conversations! He always made you see things from a different point of view. And his ironic sense of humor of the absurdity of life always made me laugh. Tom will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences and love to all of you.
