This is a little bit late but I'm getting a chance now to view President Thomas S. Monson's funeral coverage.

Today being Sunday, it reminds me that I always looked forward to Sunday morning general conference sessions because it seemed that was his usual time to speak.

I also enjoyed his fun-loving, yet meaningful stories, much of the time to young men during priesthood sessions.

Having been a missionary in Germany, I appreciated his love for the German Saints and I was particularly excited when temples were announced in Germany, especially the one in East Germany even before the Berlin Wall came down and hearing his stories about that. President Nelson was also involved.

Finally, my wife and I had the chance to meet President Monson in a church parking lot after he spoke in my brother's ward, and he remembered knowing my grandfather.

Thank you, President Monson. May the blessings of heaven bring consolation to your family in this time of loss. He will be missed.

I prayed for you to have this last Christmas, and New Year with your family as my heart felt heavy, I knew the time was coming. The prompting of the holy spirit, and the Lord's tender mercies are always there for me. You were such an example to me when I became active again 2 years ago. The strength I got from your talks, reading about you. You are a man I truly wish to follow in your footsteps. I'm very sad, but with the Plan of Salvation, I know your with your wife, and my daughter. That brings me great joy, she will progress, her and I loved you as our Prophet. I pray your family has peace, and I'm going to get out my Book of Mormon and read, as that was your direction in April at conference. Peace be with you, I will miss you always. TILL WE MEET AGAIN!

I am awe of this gentle giant. A man with such stature that can reach any one of any age just by his smile, his soft spoken voice, his love for his family and the gospel. President Kimball was President when I joined the church many years ago. He also held the attention of every age when he spoke. Thank you for supporting and loving this man who gave so much and asked for so little. Thank you for the time that he was called away from home to help others in need. Thank you for being there for him in time of need. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you gather with others to celebrate the life of a man so well loved.

Words can't express the beacon of light that President S. Monson
gave to us in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was a great shepherd and he looked after his gigantic flock! His
quotes will be eternalized forever. It will be hard to fill his shoes. He
had a terrific sense of humor and was a terrific example of service.
I know Frances is very happy to see her husband again. They were
a special couple-Eternity is where true love exists- a forever example
like the previous prophets. His kindness to others will always be remembered!

Pres. Monson will be forever etched into my heart. I love him dearly and was privileged to know him personally. I lived in his ward and my dad was his bishop for awhile. He married my sweetheart and me in the Salt Lake Temple 50 years ago. At my dad's passing, I will always remember Pres, Monson stooping down to give my mother a tender kiss on her cheek and then staying around for 30 minutes to talk to the family. I will miss him dearly as the years roll by. He will be remembered as a prophet who loved the Lord, loved to serve, loved the widows, and the lonely. He lived true to his words in General Conference. This is a quote I will remember him by: " The past is behind; learn from it. The future is ahead; prepare for it. The present is here; live in it." He is a Prophet of God. He taught us well. He loved us all. He will be remembered and loved by all who knew him. May comfort and peace be with his family.

Tom Monson was a friend to everyone. He went to West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah with my mother, who were born in the same year 1927. I have been with him several times, He was like a 'big teddy bear' listening attentively to every word. He will be remembered as a person who reached out to the One in his personal discipleship. I love you President Monson!

I give my condolences to the family of Mr. Monson and prayers for all those who loved him. He had a powerful impact on many lives. God knows the heart of a man and remembers those who help care for others. It is as if they are lending to him.(Proverbs 19:17) Mr. Monson was known for that caring and conviction. May he rest now from all the troubles in the world.

No matter how long a person lives that one always has to face humankind's sentence of death. Unfortunately, no one can avoid that sentence. But the Creator of the world, God purposes to reverse that sentence at a given time and restore humans and the earth to his original purpose of unending life in happy, peaceful conditions for the world. Until that set time arrives we can maintain that hope to see our loved ones again restored to perfection.

President Monson was a true inspirer for me as I learned so much from him and then president Spencer Kimball. President Monson will always be remembered as a caring a respectful person to everyone he met and cared for. All though I never had the opportunity to meet President Monson, I felt as though he has inspired me more to keep my faith even at my lowest point in life. I will miss him and his true caring ways towards his people whether member or not. President Monson just had a way to make a person feel good about themselves and want to learn more about the LDS Faith. I'm truly sorry that he is gone but, extremely happy that he does not have to suffer anymore with his illness and truly happy that his is with his Wife once more for eternity. God Bless You president Monson. Tony P. Clinton, Utah
