Thomas Pike Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 25 to Jun. 27, 2023.
Tom started and ended his day with three things in hand: a coffee, cigarette, and endless supply of scratch tickets. He was a face known by many in the Meredith community and held many jobs at various businesses. Tom was a hard worker and would love to visit the many places he worked. He left lasting impressions of wisdom, joy, and brighten everyone's day. He still to this day owes most of his coworkers that $5 dollars he borrowed that one time. Tom had rough life experiences in his past that made him a warrior. Through his struggles he found wisdom and his creator. He would spread his wisdom to anyone who crossed his path. Tom was a Graduate Chef, Skilled in Martial Arts, and scratch ticket winner, of course. His talent was taking any situation in life, adapting, and he turned it into something positive. Tom's coworkers, friends, and the community of Meredith will miss this one of a kind man, who passed away Thursday, June 22nd. He served others on a daily basis and was helpful to anyone who needed help. He found a family within this community and we will leave you this saying from the book he proudly published about self-discovery, Simple Acceptance:

When one speaks, they become who they are,

for we either create with our tongue a positive

or negative recall of the experience, life.

Only in silence do the words "I AM" become heard

throughout the heart, it then projects its defined meaning

of awareness within and then with confidence

is actualized without.

With a few chosen wise words

we can then speak truthfully amongst the elders

of universal agreement, as they gently nod and motion us

into our existing eternal life.

As we speak we become, when we think,

we are and with simple acceptance we can be.

Miss your smile Tom. Thank you for your wisdom that you so generously shared with me during our brief time together. Shine bright and remember the love for those of all the people you you he'd daily and gifted them with your unique heart warning personality that was truly one of a kind. You are home now and no longer have to impress anybody but our living creator and those who protect us all during this lifetime. You are a special soul who will never be forgotten by anybody who ever had the privilege of meeting you during your days upon this planet. Rest easy and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your spiritual lessons you so freely and lovingly bestowed upon not only me but I'm sure countless others throughout your lifetime. I'll miss you Sir. I'll be thinking of you too everyday. Hope our paths will cross again so easy soon. Take care and Spread your light to all those souls in the spiritual realm as you did on this planet of existence. Thank you for your kindness and your truth. It made a difference bin my life in a very short time.

I love you uncle Tj. I cherish the memories I had with you. You taught me tai chi when I was about 8 years old. You lived with my dad and I for awhile, and I loved having you around. You were going to culinary school at the time and would always make us meals. I remember when you bought your muscle car and you were so excited to show my dad, and test is out. I remember that first test drive, it was with my sister and I and it was the first time I´ve ever heard the doors (one of your favorite bands) and I´ve loved them ever since. Thank you for being such an incredible person, and I know my brother and you had such a special bond over martial arts and lots of deep conversations. You taught us so much, and I am truly going to miss you. I love you so much. Love always, your niece Jules xo

A gentle soul plague with wounds so deep he often touched the heart of God through these wounds. Speaking only of life's oddities truly intrigued by it all. I shall miss our very deep conversations though seldom they were. My heart lives more for Tom's guided insights far beyond the tragedies he conquered. Great Blessings to you Tom Pike. May you soak beyond the Sun in the place pillowed by the ever loving God of all there is. I shall miss out talks. Dawn Drew

I'm gonna miss you so much uncle TJ. You taught me how to defend myself, how to stand my ground and how to hold myself accountable when I was being stupid. I will never forget the last time I saw you. I saw you on Elm st at a book store and though it had been a couple years and you looked different your smile never changed. I knew it was you. You were so surprised I was pregnant you said "I thought you were the good one" (inside joke) and we laughed so much. I will never forget you uncle TJ never ever. Rest now. You don't need to fight anymore. Love your neice T
