Rev. Thomas E. "Ray" Pinner

Funeral services for Rev. Thomas E. "Ray" Pinner, 84, of Allentown will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tom Wainwright, Brother Terry Allen, Reverend Kevin Prince, and Reverend Ronnie Frankens officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Rev. Pinner was born April 26, 1933 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Mary Elva (Allen) and Sam Pinner, and died Monday, December 11, 2017 in a Houston hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. Rev. Pinner served in the U.S. Air Force and had been the pastor of Allentown United Pentecostal Church for 37 years. He helped found the Central Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Portia "Blondie" Pinner of Allentown; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Frankens of Diboll, Loretta and Ronnie Moore, and Pat Corcoran, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Ronnie "Jr.", David and Brian Frankens, Dianne Flowers, Brandy Wilkerson, Amanda Alford, Michael, Thomas and Kenneth Moore, and Candy Cloud; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Phillip Landers of Pollok; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Karol and Sandra Green and Bill Marlin, all of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold, Sammy, Ted, and Jerry Pinner; sisters Juanita McDaniel and Ruby Brimer; and son-in-law, Jim Corcoran. Pallbearers will be Ronnie "Jr." Frankens, David Frankens, Brian Frankens, Michael Moore, Thomas Moore, and Kenneth Moore. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
